Virtual Tabletops & Ferrowmist

Why we start in a VTT and how it accelerates the living-world workflow.

Virtual Tabletops & Ferrowmist

Running Ferrowmist on a virtual tabletop keeps the living world moving quickly. Shared assets—maps, stat blocks, macros, and fog-of-war—live in one workspace, so GMs can spin up sessions without rebuilding resources from scratch.

A VTT also streamlines coordination between tables:

  • Session logs and handouts stay attached to locations and NPCs, making it easy to see what changed last.
  • Automated initiative, conditions, and dice rollers reduce bookkeeping so you can focus on player choices that affect the wider campaign.
  • Scheduling tools, voice/video integration, and persistent chat threads help groups stay in sync even when players rotate.

Virtual play is our default starting point because it preserves continuity with minimal friction, but Ferrowmist is not limited to online tables. If you prefer in-person or hybrid sessions, export the same assets, keep reporting outcomes, and the living world will adapt around your table just as smoothly.
